Forced perspective is a technique that employs optical illusion to make an object appear farther away, closer, larger or smaller than it actually is. It is used primarily in photography, filmmaking and architecture. It manipulates human visual perception through the use of scaled objects and the correlation between them and the vantage point of the spectator or camera.
There are many ways to attack photography and some are much more expensive than others. Here in this showcase, we presenting a Stunning collection of Forced Perspective Photography and Pictures taken by various artists in which all pictures are linked to the author’s pages. A picture is worth a thousand words, but your BIG hand picture could be worth $10,000.
There is a forced perspective photo contest at the Cheez-It facebook page where they are looking for photos that make your hand look huge.

Wow! Another floating photos. That floating man in grey shirt, how did he create that effect??!
I thought I was a good photographer until I saw this!!!
It’d be nice to see this list narrowed down to a Top 10. Many of these are mediocre, and I think they made it in only to meet quota. It makes the good ones get lost in the haystack in my opinion.
Actually I don’t mean they’re mediocre as photographs (not all of them anyway), but they’re certainly not “excellent examples of forced perspective photography”. They’re fine, just out of place. Or rename the post to “cool random pics I found”.
just so everyone is clear, a lot of these photos aren’t even forced perspective…
very intersting and inspiring, great pictures!
