What is HTML5

For the casual reader who isn’t familiar with latest developments, HTML5 is the latest revision of the HTML standard. It offers faster page loading, better interactivity and new ways to display content.

HTML5 introduces many new syntactical features including <video>, <audio>, <canvas>, <section>, <article>, and <header> elements. The canvas element can be used for rendering visuals without having to use a plug-in whilst the video element removes the necessity to use plugins such as Adobe Quick Time and Flash
