For me, it’s Titanic.
In a rare case of the movie being better than the book I would put “Atonement” atop my list. The scene with Vanessa Redgrave in stark closeup at the end is amazing, and the movies ending rivals that of the “Usual Suspects’ for surprise. A close runner up would be “an education” Carey Mulligan was outstanding making the transition from young naive schoolgirl to a woman.
My favorite English film was The Battle of Britain.
Dr. No is very memorable to me, most of the James Bond films are.

My pick is Se7en (1995). Seven’s quality puts it so far beyond most of the “cops on trail of deranged killer” genre that it comes out as a true jewel of cinema. Everything about seven is perfect. It is art captured on film. This movie is a bright spot for all of the stars who worked on it.
The best English movie that I have seen is Inception by Christopher Nolan mainly because of its depth of characters , intricate storyline and breath-taking visuals. Its a masterpiece in its own regards.

There is no match of The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
I will go with 1957’s 12 Angry Men. It was kinda old but still a solid movie. It is an outstanding film. It is proof that, for a film to be great, it does not need extensive scenery, elaborate costumes or expensive special effects – just superlative acting.
I’m more a western movie type of guy. Sergio Leone’s `The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly’ is a masterpiece, one that continues to get better and better with each viewing.
Schindler’s List (1993)
My vote goes to Pulp Fiction. I’m a huge fan of Quentin Tarantino movies. His style is untouchable. I saw Reservoir Dogs , Jackie Brown , Kill Bill -1, n 2, Also the latest Django Unchained which is quite superb.
I loved “Django Unchained”.
Nothing beats “The Godfather”. Epic classics.

I’m a huge fan of Ron Howard movies. I saw RUSH – a true story of Niki Lauda and James Hunt in special preview. What a breath of fresh air. A brilliant film in every respect. I was lucky enough to this movie at a special preview and I cant tell you how great a film this is. At first you think its about racing cars, but its not it really does give you an insight into the human condition.
To Kill a Mockingbird is best.

This is a toughie but ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ has to be high on the list. ‘Withnail & I’, ‘Full Metal Jacket’ and ‘If’ were evocative.
But I suspect ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ might be best.
